Rain, rain, go away...

It has been raining non stop for 2 weeks now. I feel that we live in the Rain Forest! I am waiting for monkey and tropical birds to swing by! Oh, look outside my window!

SME Around the World

Sarah and Ashlee wanted to share some of the pictures Sarah took during the around the world week at school. Maybe one day we will actually visit some of these places! They had an International Dance at school and each did a special dance. (Ashlee did a jig from Ireland and Sarah did a dance from Brazil). Wish I had a camera that night!

Battle of the Books

Sarah took part in Battle of the Books competition. It started by reading all the books on the list and qualifying for the team. The South Mebane team came in 3rd place out of 20. It was great to see the kids working as a team and enjoying the reading process.

Mocks Gone Green Update

We have not killed anything yet! Still growing indoors until we are ready to plant in the garden the basil, tomatoes, zucchini, and squash.

Happy Birthday Brett

Can you believe it? Brett is 29 again! Enjoyed his dog cakes, presents, and well wishes!

Jess's Baby Shower at SML

Not to much longer and we will have another addition to our family! It was a great day to shower Jess and Brandt! The cookies were made by my mom and Jacque (the cut outs) and then filled in with the famous NJ bakery cookies!

Weekend at SML

We had a nice break in cold weather for a beautiful weekend in SML. Sarah and her cousin Zach (the new GQ model). We took the oldest and more mature (ha!) for a chance to hang out together. Other pictures are Sarah and Grandma and Grandpa.

Snow Motion

Then the snow came....

Another snow day. I am hating the cold. I only like snow once a year! The girls and Brett think otherwise. Noooo! Don't eat the snow!

Signs of Spring

After a few days everything was growing!

Sowing Seeds

The girls started their seeds inside to get ready for planting in the community garden. They planted basil, tomatoes and green and yellow squash. They are doing this as a group effort with the Dogwood 4-H group.
